Barclays has recruited Simon Smith as its new head of corporate investments distribution in Jersey.
Smith will join the firm’s wider corporate specialist solutions team, which is responsible for overseeing cash, liquidity management and investment distribution across the UK, Gibraltar, Cyprus and the Channel island, blglobal.co.uk reported.

Smith joined Barclays in 2012 in the role of a senior manager, where he was responsible for treasury and brokerage solutions for the Jersey clients of the firm.
Prior to that, he served as the head of corporate and institutional sales at RBS.
In the new capacity, Smith will be tasked with managing Barclays’ investment management and brokerage services for Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man clients.
He will be responsible for managing a team of investment specialists, which provides advice and arranging services to corporate, fiduciary, insurance, as well as family office clients and service delivery across these jurisdictions.
