JP Morgan International Bank, the private banking arm of JP Morgan, has appointed former FCA executive Clive Adamson as a non-executive director to advise it on regulatory affairs in Europe.
Adamson, who oversaw a fine imposed on JP Morgan for inadequate client advice two years ago, will be responsible for making recommendations on internal processes associated with regulatory and risk issues.

He will report to JPMorgan regulatory affairs EMEA head Sally Dewar.
Adamson’s role is subject to the approval of the other UK banking watchdog, the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA).
