BNY Mellon has appointed Alan Flanagan as its new global head of private equity and real estate (PE&RE) fund services.
PE&RE Fund Services, a new unit within BNY Mellon Alternative Investment Services (AIS), will include over $100bn in assets under administration. The unit will comprise over 150 staff across the globe.

In the new role, Flanagan will be tasked with managing global business.
He will continue to be based in Dublin, reporting to AIS CEO in New York Frank La Salla.
Flanagan most recently served as global head of product management for Alternative Investment Services, and will now be replaced by Robert Chambers in this role.
Chambers most recently worked at Balestra Capital in the capacity of managing director, portfolio manager, and member of the operating committee.
Flanagan serves on various executive committees at BNY Mellon, such as its European operating committee, and asset servicing global business risk committee.
