Sanlam Private Wealth has hired Rob McDonnell as its new head of business development. He will also be a member of the firm’s executive committee.
McDonnell most recently held the role of sales and marketing director at Distribution Technology. Prior to that, he served as a senior key account manager at Cofunds.

In the new role, McDonnell will be responsible to build relationships with key business introducers and managing the relationship with the wider Sanlam UK team.
Commenting on the appointment, Sanlam Private Wealth chief executive Craig Massey said: "We are absolutely delighted to have someone of Rob’s calibre on board. He is a talented and driven professional with a deep knowledge of the IFA market and a proven track record of success in the ability to manage, support and develop key partnerships.
