F&C Asset Management has appointed former iShares managing director Marc Knowles as its new managing director to spearhead its push into the ETF space.
The firm, due to be rebranded as BMO Global Asset Management, will launch three smart beta ETFs in the fourth quarter of 2015.

The ETFs include a core equity offering with an income bias, a global corporate bond with duration options, as well as a global high yield offering.
Knowles will be responsible for overseeing the expansion of the division. He most recently served at data provider Markit, where he held the role of a director since 2013.
