AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) is overhauling its emerging market debt team, as its team head Damien Buchet is set to depart in September 2015.

The firm will now create a new global emerging markets fixed income team by merging its emerging market debt team in London and Paris with its Asian fixed income team in Hong Kong.

The team will be overseen by Chris Iggo, chief investment officer of fixed income, alongside Jim Veneau, head of the Asian fixed income team, till a successor for Buchet is appointed.

Also, the firm has appointed Salish Lad as the senior portfolio manager for its global emerging markets fixed income team.

Lad most recently served at Ignis Asset Management, having previously also served stints at Henderson Global Investors, BlueBay Asset Management and Moore Capital Management.

The firm has also named Olga Fedotova as the head of emerging market credit.
