JPMorgan Asset Management has expanded its US funds team by appointing Don MacQuattie as new head of defined contribution for global strategic relationships (GSR).

In his new role, MacQuattie will responsible for managing GSR’s sales and service efforts to deliver defined contribution (DC) solutions across all US Funds’ distribution channels that include wealth management firms, independent broker-dealers, RIAs, insurance/sub-advisory firms, record keepers, and banks & trust companies.

He will report to Robert Stark, head of global strategic relationships.

MacQuattie, who has over 20 years of experience in the DC space, has previously led relationship management initiatives across all product lines for some of the Capital Group’s distribution partners, including Fidelity, Vanguard, T. Rowe Price, Pershing and TD Ameritrade.

Prior to this, he was responsible for non-profit and government retirement plan offerings at Hartford Financial Services and also launched the Retirement Plans Group’s Key Accounts team.

He also worked for 12 years with Merrill Lynch managing the New York City district’s retirement plan sales and marketing efforts.
