Japanese banking giant Nomura has hired Harry Ng as head of Nomura Trust Company (Singapore) and head of wealth planning strategy & solutions, Asia ex-Japan.

Based in Singapore, Ng will report to Nobuhiro Sano, head of wealth management, Asia ex-Japan.

In his new role, Ng will lead the trustee services business, apart from managing the firm’s client relationships and estate administration activities.

Previously, Ng worked as North Asia head of wealth planning at Julius Baer in Singapore.

Prior to this, he worked as Asia-Pacific head for wealth planning team at Merrill Lynch’s wealth management division in Singapore, before Julius Baer’s acquisition of the division.

He has also worked at Merrill Lynch in California and Citibank Singapore.
