Switzerland-based SYZ Asset Management has named Hartwig Kos as new co-head of the multi-asset team, effective from 15 October 2015.

Based in London, Kos will co-manage the team alongside Fabrizio Quirighetti in addition to serving as vice-CIO of SYZ Asset Management.

In his new role, Kos will be responsible for contributing his specific skills and experience in active allocation strategies to the team of seven people and will assume the management of the OYSTER Multi-Asset Diversified fund as lead manager.

Meantime, Quirighetti and his team in Geneva will manage the OYSTER Multi-Asset Absolute Return EUR and OYSTER Absolute Return GBP and fixed income strategies.

Kos joined SYZ from Baring Asset Management, where he worked as director in the Global Multi Asset Group responsible for managing the Baring Euro Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund.

He also worked as co-manager of the Baring Dynamic Emerging Market Fund and also served as a member of the Strategic Policy Group at Barings.
