Allianz Global Investors has strengthened its European fixed income capability by hiring Mike Riddell as UK fixed income portfolio manager effective from 1 October 2015.
Based in London, Riddell will report to Mauro Vittorangeli, CIO for Conviction Fixed Income at Allianz Global Investors.

Riddell joined Allianz GI from M&G, where he worked on a range of fixed income funds and actively contributed towards the Bond Vigilantes blog and was particularly well-known for his bearish view of China.
