Swiss lender UBS has named Edmund Koh as new head of UBS wealth management Asia Pacific replacing Kathryn Shih.
Koh, who will assume his new role on 1 January 2016, is currently head of UBS wealth management Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific hub, which covers the domestic businesses of China, Taiwan and Japan.

Koh, who joined UBS in 2012, is also a member of the UBS global wealth management executive board and country head of UBS Singapore. He has over 20 years in the Asian financial services industry.
Prior to joining UBS, Koh worked as president and director of Ta Chong Bank and also served as managing director and regional head of the consumer banking group at DBS Bank.
Meantime, Shih has been appointed as president of UBS Asia Pacific.
UBS head of wealth management Juerg Zeltner said: "His extensive experience in the financial industry and in the successful development of new markets, positions him well to lead UBS wealth management into the next phase in developing the strong position we have built in Asia Pacific."
