Pioneer Investments has appointed Clara Sierra as new senior vice president and business development manager for its independent advisor channel.
Based in Boston, Sierra will report to Henry Orvin, senior vice president and head of business development for Pioneer’s US intermediary distribution team.

In her new role, Sierra will oversee the firm’s business development efforts with US-based Independent Advisors operating nationally and regionally.
Sierra, who has over 25 years of industry experience, joined Pioneer from Sentinel Investments, where she served as executive vice president for national accounts.
Prior to this, she also worked as senior vice president, director of the investment advisory division of AIG Advisor Group and also as national accounts and senior relationship manager at Alliance Capital.
Orvin said: "She will play an important role in our business development efforts and is a welcome addition to the team."
