Cerberus Capital Management, a US-based private equity firm, has named David Abrams as the new senior managing director of Cerberus UK Advisors in its London office.

In his new role, Abrams will play a key role in expanding the firm’s credit platform. He will also concentrate on pursuing unique and compelling distressed opportunities in the emerging markets, Europe and other sectors of interest.

Prior to joining Cerberus, Abrams was working with Apollo Management, where he set up and was the managing partner of the Apollo European Principal Finance Funds franchise.

Prior to Apollo Management, he worked as a managing director in the Leveraged Finance Group of Credit Suisse, based in London and New York.
