UK-based Standard Life Wealth has hired Julie Hutchison for a newly created role of charities specialist.
Hutchison, who will advice on investment solutions and charity governance in her new role, will report to SLW head of charities Patrick Trueman.

Prior to joining SLW, Hutchison served as a consumer finance expert at Standard Life since 2004.
Hutchison, who also worked in several specialist roles across law, is part of Market Committee of UKSIF and a member of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).
Commenting on the appointment, Trueman said: "As a Director of a charity she has first-hand experience of the governance issues facing charities and has published commentary in this area. She also sits on the Ethical Advisory Group at Standard Life Investments, which is part of the governance of its ethical funds.
"We have ambitious plans to grow our charity business and Julie will be working closely with both charity trustees and professional advisers to provide expert guidance."
