SEI has hired Tom Reimer as new director of institutional sales for its institutional group as well as Michael Theodor as director of business development for the asset management distribution unit.
These new moves underscore the firm’s commitment to expanding the range and depth of services available to Canadian investors.

In his new role, Reimer will oversee business development within the Canadian marketplace as well as manage SEI’s investment solutions for defined benefit, defined contribution, endowment, multiemployer, and non-profit clients.
Prior to joining SEI, Reimer worked with AGF Asset Management Asia as vice president and director of the Asian institutional operation in Singapore and also led the Canadian institutional practice of Brandes Investment Partners.
Reimer began his career at Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor and investment manager.
Additionally, Theodor will be responsible for managing asset management distribution’s strategic relationships and its team of regional sales associates.
