Merrill Lynch Wealth Management has named Sabina McCarthy as its vice chairman. She will report to Bank of America Merrill Lynch Wealth Management head John Thiel.
Thiel in a memo said that McCarthy will continue to be a key member of the firm’s leadership team in her new role as well as focus on furthering client relationships and acting as a liaison for new and prospective clients and collaborating with Bank of America’s other divisions.

McCarthy, who joined Merrill in 1992 as a financial adviser, also worked as regional managing director and division executive at the firm.
Jeffrey Tucker will be replacing McCarthy as division executive for the New York City metro division.
Tucker was most recently market executive for the firm’s Fifth Avenue Financial center in New York, where he was responsible for managing 200 financial advisers and over $35bn in client balances.
Thiel added that a successor for Tucker will be appointed at a later time.
