British wealth manager Rowan Dartington has named John Betteridge as its new chief investment officer (CIO).

In his new role, Betteridge will be managing the firm’s asset allocation strategy for private clients and financial advisers across the business.

In addition, he will also lead the investment team, communicating investment guidelines and providing support to portfolio managers, investment executives and research analysts.

Betteridge joined Rowan Dartington in September 2014 as non-executive director and chairman of the asset allocation committee.

Prior to this, he worked as chief investment officer for Prudential UK’s Insurance Division, where he managed in excess of £150bn of assets.
