Deutsche Bank has named René Keller as chief information officer (CIO) for private, wealth & commercial clients (PW&CC), effective from 1 June 2016.

Based in Eschborn, Germany, Keller will report to Kim Hammonds, group chief operating officer.

Keller currently serves as Group CIO at Deutsche Börse, where he is responsible for information technology solutions and service delivery.

Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Keller worked as chief operating officer with financial software company Information Mosaic and held technology roles at Swiss Life, Credit Suisse and UBS.

Deutsche Bank group chief operating officer Kim Hammonds said: "René’s track record of successfully delivering technology transformation initiatives in financial services will prove invaluable to Deutsche Bank."

Keller’s hire follows the recent appointments of Peter Wharton-Hood as head of operations, global markets, head of global client lifecycle management and head of the chief operating office for UK and Ireland, and Pascal Boillat, CIO and head of operations, corporate & investment banking.
