HSBC Private Bank has named Stephen Skelly as head of wealth planning for UK and Continental Europe, Middle East and North Africa (CEMEA), and Russell Prior as head of family governance and family enterprise succession for the UK.
Skelly will be responsible for growing new business for HSBC clients through private wealth solutions (PWS) such as succession planning, wealth structuring, and family governance as well as philanthropy services. He will be based in London.

In addition, Skelly will serve as regional head of family governance and family enterprise succession for the UK and CEMEA.
Skelly earlier served as HSBC Private Bank’s head of private wealth solutions in Europe. He also worked as global CEO of Rothschild Trust and global head of wealth structuring at Barclays Wealth before joining HSBC in 2008.
In addition to the new role, Prior is also the head of philanthropy for the UK and CEMEA. He served as executive director at the Charities Aid Foundation and as director at Barclays before his stint at HSBC.
