Swiss private banking group Julius Baer has appointed five locally based senior private bankers and investment managers for its Channel Island and international businesses.

The newly appointed bankers include Craig Allen, Jean-Luc Le Tocq, Marie-Christine Potter, Andrea Sarchet-Luff, and Iain Stables.

Allen has been appointed as head of portfolio management Guernsey at Julius Baer, and will be responsible for expanding the existing investment offering for local and international clients. He will report to branch manager Paul Van Neste in his new role.

He most recently served at Credit Suisse Guernsey, where he held the role of Head of Portfolio Management for the UK, Channel Islands and Gibraltar for five years and managed all GBP-based Private Mandates across the globe.

Le Tocq most recently served as head of relationship management and investment advisory in Guernsey and Channel Islands executive board member for the last 13 years at Credit Suisse. He will report directly to Paul Van Neste.

Potter joins Julius Baer from Credit Suisse Guernsey, where she served as a director in relationship management for the last 20 years.

Sarchet-Luff has been appointed in Julius Baer’s risk, legal and compliance team, and will be particularly tasked with governance and oversight.

In a 10-year career with the Guernsey Financial Services Commission, she served as assistant director and acting deputy director within the banking and insurance unit.

Stables has been named as a director in the credit team at Julius Baer, with a focus on Lombard and mortgage lending. He has an experience of over 20 years in the private banking industry.
