AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has hired Pierre-Emmanuel Juillard as managing director of a new investment team aimed at developing liquid absolute return strategies.
AXA IM is expected to launch this new activity in the second half of 2016 through a dedicated asset management subsidiary in Hong Kong.

Based out of Hong Kong, Juillard will lead an initial team of nearly 10 individuals from diverse backgrounds. He will report to AXA IM CEO Andrea Rossi.
Juillard is joining AXA IM from Goldman Sachs – where he acted as a partner and head of structuring in the securities division in Asia Pacific.
He was head of structured finance for AXA IM until leaving to become a partner at Goldman Sachs.
