AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has hired Michael Ganske as the new head of emerging markets fixed income.

Ganske, whose recruitment follows the company’s decision in June to create a global emerging markets (GEM) fixed income team, will spearhead a team of 10 investment professionals based in London, Paris and Hong Kong.
In the new role, he will be responsible for overseeing nearly EUR5bn of EM and Asian debt, across three flagship mutual funds, as well as multiple segregated institutional mandates.
He will be based in London, and will report to CIO fixed income Chris Iggo.
Ganske most recently served as a partner and head of EM at Rogge Global Partners.
