Established in 1992, BSW works with clients across the country from its offices in Boulder and Denver.

Its services include financial planning and tailored wealth management for individuals and families.

BSW will adopt the Sequoia Financial name.

Its clients will be able to use a wider set of services, including tax, estate and special needs planning, family office support and investment options.

BSW CEO David Wolf said: “The incredible alignment of BSW’s ethos to Make Life Better and Sequoia’s vision of Enriching Lives also extended across our firms’ cultures, clients, and capabilities.

“United, we can better serve families for generations, create exciting career opportunities for our team, and broaden our impact in Boulder, Denver, and throughout the Mountain West.”

The deal follows Sequoia Financial’s August acquisition of All Star Financial, a wealth management firm in the Twin Cities area with $1.3bn in client assets under management and advisement as of 30 June 2026.

Sequoia Financial said these transactions form part of its approach of pairing organic expansion with selected acquisitions to widen its presence across the US and add particular areas of expertise.

The company now serves around 11,000 client households through 43 offices, with clients located in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Sequoia Financial reported $34.9bn in assets under management as of 30 June 2026.

Sequoia Financial CEO and chairman Tom Haught said: “We highly value the bonds BSW has built with clients over the decades and the culture of its talented team.

“We are pleased to welcome them to the Sequoia Financial family as we expand our presence in Colorado.”
