TriLegal and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas have led legal adviser rankings for APAC mergers and acquisitions in the first quarter of 2026, as per GlobalData’s latest league table.

Using its Financial Deals Database, GlobalData said TriLegal was the highest-placed firm by value, having worked on transactions worth $7.6bn.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas was first by volume, with 16 deals.

In the value ranking, Vinson & Elkins was second with $7.5bn in advised deals. Latham & Watkins followed with $6.3bn, while Morrison & Foerster was next with $5.8bn.

In terms of deal volume, TriLegal secured second place by advising 15 deals, while AZB & Partners was in third place with 14 transactions.

JSA Legal followed with eight deals, and Latham & Watkins recorded seven.

GlobalData lead analyst Aurojyoti Bose said: “TriLegal also gave close competition for the top position by volume, missing it by a whisker. It held the second position in volume rankings with 15 deals. Similarly, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, apart from occupying the top position by volume in Q1 2026, also held the fifth position in terms of value by advising on $5.7 billion worth of deals.”

GlobalData’s league tables are based on the real-time tracking of thousands of company websites, advisory firm websites and other reliable sources available on the secondary domain. A dedicated team of analysts monitors all these sources to gather in-depth details for each deal, including adviser names.    

To ensure further robustness to the data, the company also seeks submissions of deals from leading advisers.
