Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) has appointed Julie Koo as its new head of distribution for Asia Pacific.
She will assume her new position on 1 May 2026 and will operate out of Hong Kong.

In this role, Koo will oversee the development of AllianzGI’s business in the Asia Pacific region. The company currently manages $134bn in assets for clients across the area.
Koo will also become a member of the executive committee and report to CEO Tobias Pross.
Koo brings over 30 years of experience in institutional and wealth management across Asia, Europe, and North America.
Her career includes roles in business strategy, client relationship management, team leadership, and product development.
