US-based wealth management group Cerity Partners has merged with compatriot SOL Capital Management, an independent advisory firm. 

Financial specifics of the deal remain undisclosed.  

The deal will see Rockville, Maryland-based SOL Capital adopt the Cerity Partners name going forward. 

The agreement is intended to expand Cerity Partners’ reach within Maryland and add to the firm’s advisory and investment service capacity. 

Houlihan Lokey was the exclusive financial advisor for SOL Capital in relation to the transaction, while Nelson Mullins provided legal advice. 

SOL Capital Management CEO and chairman of the board Rajmiel Odinec said: “Since our founding in 1987, SOL Capital Management has focused on disciplined investment management and long-term client relationships.

SOL Capital Management, established in 1987, specialises in portfolio management and serves individuals, families, and institutional clients.  

The firm has a client base that includes those with complex investment needs, particularly high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.  

Cerity Partners was founded in 2009 and offers a range of services including investment management, tax planning, retirement strategies, and financial planning for individuals, families, business owners, and nonprofit entities.
