Australian bank ANZ has expanded its presence in West China by opening a new branch in Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan Province.
The new outlet will offer a full range of products and services, including trade and supply chain, cash management, markets and relationship banking services for corporate customers.

Situated in the downtown business area at International Finance Square, the new branch marks as ANZ’s second outlet in West China.
Additionally, the bank, which currently has 220 staff, expects to employ around 1000 staff in the next few years.
The bank has six branches in China, including in Beijingt, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing and Hangzhou.
ANZ chief executive Mike Smith said that Chengdu is an important contributor to economic growth and development of West China which is a strategic market for ANZ in China.
