Deutsche Bank Asset Management (Deutsche AM), the fund management arm of Deutsche Bank, has appointed Mark McDonald as its new global head of private equity secondaries.
McDonald will join Deutsche AM from Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM), where he served as the global head of secondary advisory and a senior member of the screening committee for the firm’s private fund group.

Prior to joining Credit Suisse, McDonald worked as a senior member of small-cap private-equity firm Keyhaven Capital Partners, where he focused on Europe and Asia.
Based in London, McDonald will report to Pierre Cherki, head of alternatives and co-head, investment group. In his new role, McDonald will identify alpha-generating solutions and support the firm build client portfolios.
As of 30 September 2017, Deutsche Asset Management had €711bn ($839bn) in assets under management.
