Phillip Pounds joins CAPTRUST as vice president, financial advisor, working in the firm’s regional office in Charlotte, N.C and brings extensive experience in the retirement plan industry. Prior to joining CAPTRUST, Phillip was a senior vice president with Wells Fargo. During his 22-year tenure, he built a regional team of more than 100 relationship managers to oversee the bank’s retirement plan clients with assets greater than $100 million. Phillip played a key role in growing the organization’s retirement business from inception to over three million plan participants.

He also served in a consulting role helping clients and advisors through 409A transition planning and documentary compliance updates.
Kevin Sims joins CAPTRUST as vice president, financial advisor in the firm’s regional office in Clarkston, MI. Kevin brings 23 years of experience in financial services, where he has specialized in helping clients and their families address their retirement savings and income goals. Prior to joining CAPTRUST, Kevin spent much of his time working with two major health systems, sitting on their pension committees and providing individual retirement advice to hospital staff and administration.
