Financial management company Artorius Wealth, which has offices in London and Zurich, has reportedly decided to set up its headquarters in Manchester.

The new boutique challenger, which is currently operating based on a temporary space, will open its main Manchester office in The Boardwalk on 10 May 2015, publication Manchester Evening News has reported.

"I always wanted the main office to be in Manchester and from a cost point of view it is cheaper to have our administrative base here," the publication quoted Artorius Wealth CEO Richard Algar as saying.

Artorius, which offers a planning-led high end wealth management service, has also been in a hiring spree with recruits including Gerard Lane as chief investment officer from Shore Capital, Chris Carter, a senior adviser from Morgan Stanley as chairman and James Phillips from Credit Suisse to lead the Zurich team.

"Our business is all about building relationships so having the right calibre of staff is everything," Algar added.
