The Miami, Florida-based Sequent Group, a global provider of fiduciary and trust services known for its tailored wealth solutions, has named Karen Creel managing director and head of wealth structuring for its newly launched US branch.

With three decades of expertise creating intricate wealth plans, Creel’s broad range of legal, tax, and financial knowledge make her an ideal candidate to spearhead Sequent’s entry into the ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) sector in North America.

Formerly a senior managing director at First Republic and a managing director at Rockefeller Global Family Office, Creel brings an extensive transfer and estate planning background to Sequent.

She has also worked in asset protection and tax optimisation and has an LL.M. in taxation and a Juris Doctor.

In addition to Sequent’s comprehensive wealth planning and trust solutions, Creel provides experience in asset accumulation techniques, wealth preservation, and succession planning.

With operations in London, the Channel Islands, Singapore, Geneva, Zurich, and the British Virgin Islands, Sequent Group has a global presence boosted by the US branch.

Moreover, the second of Sequent’s two US offices is in Florida, and Creel will collaborate with Sequent North America, which is the groups-chartered trust business and is located in Nevada.

In the US, her unit will also serve as the group’s insurance division. Although Creel’s headquarters will be in Miami, she will work for customers all over the country, splitting her time between Miami and New York.
