The World Bank Group is set to open new office at Sasana Kijang in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The new office will serve as a knowledge and research centre.

According to second finance minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah, the new office would help Malaysia share its development experience with other developing countries as well as help the country leverage World Bank’s international experience and expertise.

Hanadzlah added that the office would carry out research in key development areas and global indicators for the World Bank Doing Business Report.

The new office is reportedly scheduled to commence operation in the next two months.
