Wilmington Trust added three new members to its Wealth Advisory team in the Florida market.

The firm hired Michael Engelbrecht and Michele Vogel as senior private client advisors, and Katrina Lee as senior investment advisor.

Wilmington Trust opened its first Florida office in 1983 in Stuart. Wilmington Trust continues to grow its Wealth Advisory business in the Florida market and now has offices in Palm Beach, North Palm Beach, Stuart, and Vero Beach.

MICHAEL ENGELBRECHT
Engelbrecht was hired as a managing director and senior private client advisor. He is responsible for providing comprehensive wealth management advice to high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, and entrepreneurs. He has more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, he served as a managing director with Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc. Before that Engelbrecht was regional head of the J.P. Morgan Private Bank office in Boca Raton, and was a director of their national trust company. Earlier in his career, he was president, CEO, and director of the Bank of Boston Trust Company of Florida.

Engelbrecht earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from the Krannert School of Industrial Management at Purdue University.

In the community, he served on the board of the Florida Philharmonic, and was president of the Palm Beach Symphony. Additionally, Engelbrecht has served on the boards of numerous other community, charitable, and business organizations in Palm Beach County. He is a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association, and past member of the American Bar Association, where he lectured on a variety of trust and tax topics.

KATRINA C. LEE
As a senior investment advisor, Lee works with high-net-worth clients and foundations to develop customized investment portfolios based on their unique situations and goals. She is based in Wilmington Trust’s office at 2000 PGA Blvd., Suite 4400 in North Palm Beach, and can be reached at (561)630-2126.

 

Lee brings nearly 20 years of wealth management experience to her new position. Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, she served as executive director of Barnstar Funds. Previously, she was executive director with Frank Crystal & Co. Earlier in her career, she was portfolio manager with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and Brown Brothers Harriman & Co.

Lee earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. She is a member of the CFA Society of South Florida and the CFA Institute.

As a senior private client advisor, Vogel is responsible for providing comprehensive wealth management advice to high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, and entrepreneurs. Vogel has more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry.

Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, she served as vice president with PNC Wealth Management in Palm Beach County. Before that, she was a senior vice president and trust officer at Northern Trust.
She holds a Juris Doctorate and a Masters of Law in Estate Planning from the University of Miami School of Law. She earned her bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Wisconsin.

Vogel is an active community leader and has served on various committees with the American Red Cross of the Treasure Coast and the Palm Beaches. She is also on the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Delray Beach, as well as the board of the Delray Center for the Arts. She was also previously appointed for two terms to the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, where she served as treasurer and vice chair.
