Wells Fargo poaches multi-asset global research head from Neuberger Berman

Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM) has hired Wai Lee from Neuberger Berman to serve as the global head of research for its multi-asset solutions team.

Lee will be based in New York for the new role. At Neuberger Berman, he was the head of quantitative investments.

Prior to that, he worked as head of the quantitative engineering group at Credit Suisse Asset Management.

He previously also led the quantitative research and risk management for the global balanced group at J.P. Morgan Investment Management.

WFAM president and head of multi-asset solutions Nico Marais said: “Wai brings a depth of experience that will be an important dimension as we continue to build out our systematic platform of global multi-asset and solutions capabilities across alphas, betas, and asset classes, with a specific focus on risk premia, advanced betas, and factor-based strategies.

“He also will play a key role in supporting our firm’s strategic partnerships, working with the solutions team in the design and delivery of customized investment solutions to investors around the globe.”
