Investment management company Wellington Management has introduced its climate strategy to invest in firms that are addressing climate concerns.

The new UCITS compliant climate strategy will invest in companies across the world which have worked to mitigate global environmental risks through their product and service portfolio.

The climate-change-focused fund will be managed by Wellington Management global industry analyst Alan Hsu.

With the aim to provide long-term total returns, the fund will invest in various eco-friendly themes including energy efficiency, low-carbon transport and electricity and water and resource management.

In September, Wellington Management announced a partnership with Woods Hole Research Centre (WHRC) in a bid to integrate climate science and asset management.

This collaboration will work to analyse the impact of climatic changes on global capital markets.
