US-based Walton Asset Management (WAM) has appointed Sam Wilkins as new executive vice president for its capital markets.
Wilkins has been a member of The Walton Group of Companies (Walton)’s Board of Advisors for the past four years, providing strategic counsel and guidance to the group of companies.
In his new role, Wilkins will be responsible for assisting Walton to implement its strategic growth plan, providing expertise in advisory transactions, capital raising and investment banking.
Additionally, Wilkins will step down from Walton’s Board of Advisors to oversee WAM’s west coast operations, where he will responsible for institutional debt and equity capital raising, managing development entities and negotiating strategic partnerships with institutional investors.
Ed Steffelin, president of Walton Asset Management, said: "With his extensive background and expertise, we’re confident that Wilkins will carry out the mission of WAM, which is centered on developing, marketing and administering Walton real estate development products for institutional partners."
