Sunsuper, a privately owned investment manager in Australia, has appointed Scott Hartley as its new CEO, effective 28 January 2014.

In his new role, Hartley will be responsible for enhancing the quality of the Sunsuper’s products and services for members and employers.

He will work along with the board and the executive team to grow the business over the next five years.

Hartley has more than 15 years’ experience in executive management roles. He most recently served as executive general manager of corporate and institutional wealth at National Australia Bank.

John Battams, deputy chairman of Sunsuper, said: "Hartley’s extensive experience in the industry, strong track record, and wealth of business knowledge makes him eminently suitable for the role and will ensure the Fund is well-positioned to realize its strategic ambitions and exploit every opportunity to grow the member and client base nationally.
