State Street has appointed Citizens Financial Group’s Eric Aboaf as its new CFO, replacing Mike Bell.
Aboaf will join State Street in December 2016 in the role of executive vice president and member of its management committee.
As State Street’s CFO, a role which he will take over in March 2017, Aboaf will oversee the firm’s global financial strategy and finance functions, including treasury, accounting, tax and reporting as well as investor relations.
He will report to State Street chairman and CEO Jay Hooley.
“Eric has a dozen years of experience working within a global financial institution and has a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape. His wide range of finance, capital markets and expense efficiency expertise will further strengthen our finance organization and support our goal of delivering value to our shareholders,” Hooley said.
At Citizens Financial, Aboaf served as CFO since April 2015 with responsibility for all finance functions such as treasury, investor relations and corporate development.
