Stanhope Capital is set to open its third office in Jersey in January to cater to clients among the Channel Islands’ trust companies.

The new office will be initially headed by a two-member team which includes partner Guy Paterson, and a third person by the end of first quarter of next year, reports International Adviser.

The office also looks to carry out further hiring over the next 18 months.

Paterson referred to the new office opening as a major advantage for developing business, and said, "In addition, it provides our international clients with a further choice of jurisdiction from which to be managed and Jersey is highly regarded for its regulatory regime."

Stanhope Capital, founded in 2004 by Daniel Pinto and Julien Sevaux, manages about $9bn on behalf of wealthy families, charities as well as other institutions.
