Societe Generale Private Banking Hambros (SGPB Hambros) has appointed three new private bankers to its Newbury and Edinburgh offices.

Daniel Way and Jeremy Hill will join the firm as senior private bankers in its Newbury office, while Douglas Barton will join the Edinburgh office.

Prior to joining SGPB Hambros, Way and Hill have worked at Barclays Wealth as private bankers, where they were responsible for setting up its Reading office.

Barton has joined SGPB Hambros from PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He has previously worked for HSBC and RBS in addition to running his own consultancy.

SGPB Hambros spokesperson said: "These appointments are a reflection of the bank’s on-going commitment to its regional development strategy as it continues to provide tailored private banking services to clients."

Christophe Billard, commercial director, SGPB Hambros, said: "We are delighted to welcome our new private bankers, who bring such a broad range of experience with them and we believe this will prove invaluable in further establishing our expertise and services in Newbury and Edinburgh."
