Scotiabank’s vice chairman and COO Sabi Marwah is to retire on 30 May 2014 after a spell of 35 years at the firm.
The bank said that it will execute a realignment of key executive reporting relationships with this retirement.

As part of the realignment, Sean McGuckin, executive vice president & CFO, will report to Brian Porter, Scotiabank president and CEO and will assume expanded responsibility.
In addition, Deborah Alexander, executive vice president, general counsel & secretary, Jeffrey Heath, executive vice president & group treasurer, Kimberlee McKenzie, executive vice president, information technology & solutions, and Grant Mick, senior vice president & chief auditor will also report to Porter.
Meantime, Anatol von Hahn, group head, Canadian banking will take over the role for Shared Services in Canada.
