Schroders has named Alex Tedder as new head of global equities, replacing Peter Harrison.

In his new role, Tedder will lead the Global and International Equities team’s business management and strategic planning. In addition, he will also oversee the team and drive the development of the team’s franchise.

Harrison will continue to remain head of equities across Schroders.

Meantime, Simon Webber, lead portfolio manager global equities, will work with the team’s global sector specialists to ensure that client portfolios benefit from the team’s proven research capabilities and high-conviction idea generation.

Prior to joining Schroders, Tedder served at American Century Investments as head of global equities. Before to that, he was the company’s co-head of global and non-US large cap strategies, managing a team of 15 people and £12.5 billion assets.
