Helen joins Rothschild from Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management division, where she worked for 19 years. During this time she built a very significant business specialising in advising individuals, families, trusts and companies on their wealth management requirements and delivering bespoke investment solutions for clients. Helen was shortlisted for Private Banker of the Year in both 2008 and 2009 by the Spear’s Wealth Management Survey and recognised as one of the top 20 Influential Women in Wealth Management by Global Investor.
Mark joins from specialist investment business Polar Capital Holdings, where he has been CEO since 2005. Prior to that, he spent 19 years at Morgan Stanley, also in its Wealth Management business, focusing on advising wealthy families, entrepreneurs, charities and endowments with pools of wealth in excess of £50m.

Mark was instrumental in developing Morgan Stanley’s discretionary management capabilities. He then went on to become Head of UK Private Wealth Management and was ultimately promoted to run the Northern European Wealth Management business of the firm (including the UK, German speaking Europe,
Benelux, and Scandinavia).
They will be joined by James Morrell, who has spent seven years at Morgan Stanley working with Helen and has quickly established a strong reputation.

Mark Kary will be joining Rothschild with immediate effect whilst James and Helen will join in April and May respectively. The team will be based in London, reporting to Gary Powell.
