British wealth manager Rathbone Brothers’ total funds under management (FuM) at the end of 31 December 2017 were £39.1bn, an increase of 14% compared to £34.2bn in the year ago period.
“Growth in funds under management was robust, reflecting both favourable investment markets and continued growth in the business,” the firm said.

The group’s investment management unit had FuM of £33.8bn at the end of December 2017, a jump of 12% over £30.2bn a year earlier. The unit registered total net inflows of £290m during the fourth quarter of 2017, as against £292m a year ago.
Funds managed by the group’s unit trusts arm stood at £5.3bn at the end of December 2017, a surge of 32% compared to £4bn at the end of December 2016. Total net fund inflows in the fourth quarter of 2017 were £272m, versus £125m a year earlier.
