Consolidator Perspective Financial Group has set up its first office in London with the acquisition of Thornton Springer Financial Services.

The acquired entity serves private clients and businesses in the south east London region.

It was initially a unit of accountancy firm Thornton Springer but split in 2006.

The company will now operate under the Perspective (Thornton Springer) name.

This marks Perspective’s 34th deal since its inception in 2008.

With the purchase, the UK office network of Perspective increases to 15.

The consolidator’s other UK offices are located in Eastbourne, Marlborough, Chester and Newcastle upon Tyne.

Thornton Springer Financial Services partner Peter Weston said: “We will continue to operate with the same team from the same premises, ensuring our combination of personal service, technology and competitive charging will continue.”

The latest deal, whose financial terms were not revealed, is Perspective’s third deal in 2019.

Earlier this year, the firm snapped up Investment Principles as well as Galloway Whitfield (Life & Pensions).

Perspective group managing director Ian Wilkinson said: “We welcome Peter Weston, Andrew Walford and their staff to the team.

“Like them, we believe in delivering an outstanding personal service to clients from local offices.

“We can now provide additional support to them with our strong and professional central service functions including compliance, finance, marketing and HR, meaning advisers spend their time with their clients.”
