Perella Weinberg Partners (PWP), a global independent advisory and asset management firm, has announced plans to open a new office in Los Angeles, California.
The office, which is the company’s ninth office worldwide, will be headed by Christopher Mead.

Mead will be tasked with expanding the firm’s client coverage in the Western US.
PWP founding partner and head of advisory Peter Weinberg said: “Today’s announcement demonstrates our continued commitment to having resources and professionals in the regions where our clients are located.
Mead joined as a partner in the advisory business at PWP. Prior to PWP, he worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, most recently as the managing director in the global industrials group of the investment banking arm.
“Chris is an experienced banker with deep knowledge of, and extensive relationships in, the region. His experience and relationships will be invaluable to the Firm and our clients as we enhance our presence in key industry verticals and expand our presence in this important market.”
