Adviser-built wrap platform Nucleus has poached Martin Ettles from Phoenix Group to serve as its new chief risk officer.
In the new role, Ettles will report to Nucleus CEO David Ferguson.
The hire comes after an internal review of executive roles triggered by the launch of the senior managers and certification regime.
Ferguson noted: “We’re keen to ensure the team has the right balance as we set about delivering the next stage of our growth agenda. Following a market-wide search process, Martin was the standout candidate to join the team.
“He is culturally aligned with our company values, commercially minded and forward looking, and I believe he has all the skills needed to be successful here.”
Ettles will work alongside the firm’s audit and risk committees chair Tracy Dunley-Owen.
