Morgan Stanley Wealth Management has restructured its leadership team by creating a new strategy role for one executive and promoting two others.

Doug Ketterer has been appointed as head of the firm’s strategy and client management.

In his new role, Ketterer will be responsible for improving the way Morgan Stanley Wealth Management deals with different sets of clients with needs, ranging from individuals to corporations.

Shelley O’Connor, who had run Morgan Stanley’s private bank, has replaced Ketterer as head of field management.

Additionally, Eric Heaton will replace O’Connor as new head of the private-banking group.

In his new role, Heaton will report to Morgan Stanley Wealth Management president Greg Fleming, as do Ketterer and O’Connor.
