Morgan Stanley has named Alexandre Bartolin and Frederic Proust as co-heads of investment banking in France, according to a LinkedIn post by the bank’s country head Emmanuel Goldstein .
Frederic Proust has been with the bank since 2004, according to his LinkedIn profile.

He was made managing director in 2017 and has held several senior positions in the French investment banking business, including chief operating officer and, more recently, head of the financial institutions practice in France.
His LinkedIn profile says he has more than 20 years of experience advising large companies, financial institutions and family-owned businesses on strategic matters.
It adds that he covers key client relationships across areas such as financial institutions, telecoms, consumer and retail, and has worked on M&A, financing and other strategic transactions.
Proust is also a board member of La Maison des Femmes, which provides care and support to vulnerable women.
In a LinkedIn post, he said: “Thankful for the trust. Very proud and honoured to lead this fantastic team with Alexandre Bartolin and looking forward to bringing our French IBD franchise to the next level.”
Alexandre Bartolin joined Morgan Stanley in 2016 as an associate, according to his LinkedIn profile.
He later served as vice president, executive director and managing director. Since 2023, he has been Head of EMEA Transportation and Infrastructure at the bank.
Bartolin would keep that regional role alongside his new position in France. The bank said Proust brings long experience with clients and leadership in the French team.
