Martin Currie, the specialist active equity manager, has hired Toby Hogbin as new chief operating officer at the end of last month, replacing Darren Cannon.
In his new role, Hogbin will responsible for the firm’s operational functions, including information technology, client reporting, investment operations, transitions and the project team.

Additionally, he will also serve as a member of the executive committee.
Hogbin has joined Martin Currie in 2008 as head of product development. He is also chairman of Martin Currie Unit Trusts Limited, the authorised corporate director of the UK-based Oeic range and of Martin Currie Global Funds.
Prior to joining Martin Currie, he worked at Credit Suisse Asset Management as director of products, investment solutions and marketing, and as a member of the Credit Suisse Asset Management Funds (UK) Limited board.
